HOW TO FLASH A CUSTOM ROM ON YOUR ANDRIOD PHONE.

HOW TO FLASH A CUSTOM ROM ON YOUR ANDRIOD PHONE.

After being sick and tired of inconsistent performance of Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos, yesterday I decided to go ahead and install a custom ROM (firmware) on my phone.
Please remember to back up all essential data from your phone to Google Drive or your PC, before installing a custom ROM. so make sure you have that as well, along with MicroSD card installed in your phone with at least 300mb free space.

>>>make sure that you are on official frimware which is supplied by manufacturer....and also diffrent roms demands different official frimware versions some time you have to downgrde your base official version by hard resetting your phone  so check your frimware version before flashing the rom.<<<

here is step by step instruction on how to root phone and installing CWM on phone...

1.First you have to root your phone and have CUSTOM RECOVERY (CWM) installed on your phone…

2.Download the custom rom and google apps, you want to flash on your phone according to your phone.

Here is someroms that you can flash on your phone…

Top five ROMS that I will recommend for flasing…

1.CarbonRom

CarbonROMs are basically known for it's excellent features and stability. CarbonROM has much more number of features than any other ROM for Armani or Xiaomi Redmi 1S like ParanoidAndroid, CyanogenMod or Mokee OS. Well there is an AOKP ROM available for our Redmi 1S too, but this ROM is more famous than the AOKP ROMs. As of now, none of the ROMs have been supported officially by the ROM managers and have been unofficially ported to Xiaomi Redmi 1S and that's the reason for having various small bugs or instability issues in ROM. Because this ROM is not a group project, but is compiled by an individual, this ROM has more bugs than the ROMs ported by Armani Devs like CyanogenMod and ParanoidAndroid ROM. The biggest problem in this ROM currently is that the RIL or network, calls, internet and all services related to SIM is not at all working and the developer is claiming to solve the bugs very soon. These bugs are acceptable because the ROM is currently on testing stage and not even Alpha or Beta. None of the SIMs are working in this build (Testing build #1) and don't expect it go get fixed early, because the developer currently doesn't have the device with him.

2.SlimBean

The ROM is packed with in built set up profiles, theme engine, and much more. The can be flashed on many devices but we have numbered just a few devices that are a bit famous ones.

3.P.A.C. True All in 1 ROM

The ROM is very good at Gaming and gas a scope of betterment in the interface as it frequently gets updated. The awesome ROM is not available f0r many devices bu t we have listed a few devices which have the capability t o be flashed by this ROM.

4.AOKP

It’s been one of my all time favorites on a Nexus device because you can change the software key colors. The AOKP has hundreds of features that’s ant really be explained here but one can only understand while using This ROM. Performance tweaks, customizable LED notifications, and much more abilities of this ROM makes it stand aside from other ROMs.

5.CyanogenMod

CyanogenMod has been around since the beginning. And has gained more team members, device support and new features over the years. Including customizable quick settings, customizable software and hardware keys and much more. CyanogenMod 10.1 is available for a ton of devices. Also developers change kernels of few Phones to make this ROM work on their device. also there are plenty and thousand of Themes are available for CynogenMod on the Google Play Store.

Next, navigate through the recovery mode menu and select “wipe data factory reset”, “wipe cache partition” and “wipe dalvick cache”.

The system will now be wiped out, so that’s why the backup has been recommended before.

And choose “install zip from SD card” and “choose zip from SD card”.
Pick the update file and flash the same.

5.Optional: repeat this operation for applying the Google Apps package.
When the installation process ends, from recovery select “+++go back+++” and “reboot system now”.

 You are done.

In some cases after flashing the custom ROM, when rebooting the first time, your handset might get stuck in a boot loop (if the first boot takes longer than usual, don’t panic, there is nothing wrong with your device); if that happens, follow:

Reboot in recovery once more.

From there select “wipe data factory reset” and “wipe cache partition”.

Return and reboot.

Optional: if needed now you can restore the previous software (only if you had made a Nandroid backup as indicated). So, use the recovery menu and select “backup and restore”.
